Feel bad for Darlene for not having her family's support, but she should seek professional help with overcoming those issues and coming to terms that her family may never ever accept her the way she is, so she can move on with her life and make the best of it.

i really enjoyed watching it, transexual men as women, and none cares about their past!
still, im so sad for darlene, i mean being resent by her family, leaving alone and feeling wrong about herself, i just wish that in the future people could understand that, not as a freaks besides, is tailand really like the transexual land? that's kinda cool.

i feel so sad for darlene, her family shuns her, men treat her like shit. it's so sad!!! i wished darlenes mom would be like gavins mom. i dont understand people that dont accept gays, transexuals etc. i hope darlene gets her happy ending..love and acceptance.

Gavin's mother was wonderful, her acceptance and love should have made all of Gavin's efforts worth while. What a sanctuary knowing you truly have one with which you can confide, even it it is your mother! Saying that, my heart goes out to Darlene. What a tragedy to reject your child. Each side has to live with loss from their decissions.
My thanks go out to Andy Wells for putting together an giving an "objective" inside look. Very well done.
