Great start, looks like it will be fun to play.
One criticism, it looks a little cramped. I think you should pan the camera depending on the movement speed so you can see further ahead, maybe even also zoom out a bit depending on speed if your tile manager/camera/sprites allow it.

I think you should add an option that allows you to increase or decrease the blood amount, that would be cool.

Dude this looks awesome. Gameplay looks fun, physics look solid and it's stylish.

Would anyone else pay for good games like this?
I would!

@JittersInternational great point dude!
Most people really don't understand the energy ,time,logic,and programming skill it takes to do even then simpliest game. Plus, his game looks better than many of the Professional paid releases I've seen from other independent studios.
great point!

Great job man! The grappling hook is amazing.
Keep up the good work ;)

very nice, i would love to have such coding skills

I really like what you're doing here, but I feel that the hit detection, with the player going inside walls feels really awkward and the fact that the camera is not constantly centered at the player kind of deducts from the feel of speed and visibility.

I'm sure he really cares what bothers you about his game. If you knew the time, energy and thought that went into this game, or any other game, you would probably not say things like that. You probably couldn't handle the logic that went into the simplest aspect of this game.
omg I really want to know the mechanics behind that grappling chain. If you could give me any idea of the concept behind the mechanics id greatly appreciate it.. i think I might even try working on that tonight.

@krystalfox007
It's a bunch of point masses (which are the dots you can see) linked together with springs and dampers.

I programmed it in C++ using a graphics engine called Irrlicht.

I'm still looking forward to trying this game. If you think its far enough, you should put up a demo for other people to try it out. I can't wait to try the grappling hook, it looks like a fun tool to use.

Thanks for the comments. I'm working on getting to the point of a playable demo.
