Anton Webern would be proud of what you did with this piece, very much in his style. Keep exploring, keep writing, keep performing, keep posting, please!

Isn't a canon compromised of strict imitation?

@texasinger2 I didn't say I couldn't hear it. Its just not a valuable contribution to the...canon...of canons. Its a class assignment you threw away. Let beauty be your teacher instead and your canons will improve. :)

@texasinger2 I am okay with this.

@UltimaXG2 The second voice is 3/4 the note values of the first voice if I have that right. It's been a while since I looked at this, but I think that is right. Thank you for your thoughtful comment!

And... that's it? I really was hoping for more...

@TheDaveBloom My apologies. It was for a class and it didn't need to be long. I would like to compose a little more using this technique; perhaps some longer works.

You're being turned into a dummy in your class. This isn't even a canon.

@wrestpinpeace Yes, it is. It is in 2 different meters and I am sorry that you cannot hear it.

so your purpose was to upset people. meh, i prefer writing music for people to actually, you know... enjoy. it's much more difficult, believe it or not.

@RehenNodrog The purpose of music is not always ear candy and, for me, it rarely is. My purpose was not to upset people, but I do think it is amusing when someone gets so upset over this piece; which, was composed for a class. I do enjoy upsetting people's perception of what constitutes music, though.
