If you see David Newman's work at http://flickr.com/dnsf you'll see some really great portraits he's made of people around the world. Most of his recent work has been done on the iPad. He was sitting next to me in the Google IO event and his working style caught my eye so when I met him later I wanted to find out how he worked. You can follow David on Twitter http://twitter.com/dnsf

  • @merrymavin yup i had a wacom and was amazing but didn´t give me the freedom i want to draw is a lot of cables and stuff and besides im no pro drawer, just like to do it once in a while and the ipad is perfect for me, plus the app is only 8 bucks ^^

  • @Pistolero3 Thanks, I was looking at the Pro version, not the app.

  • @merrymavin no it wont

  • im sold after seeing this app adobe photoshop needs to team up with the person that made this app

  • This video just got me even MORE excited about picking up my iPad this week. :)

  • i'm getting iPad in July so i'll be buying the Pogo stylus as well. Just might get me back into art again, i haven't drawn anything in over 20 years.

  • Nice, i want that iPad+Styles combo :D

  • yeah that was awesome, Great demo on the fly!

  • Sketchbook costs more than eight dollars.

  • This is where Courier *could* have excelled. It had so much potential in this area.

Maybe Wacom could come out with something similar, their resolution, accuracy, stylus and pressure sensitivity technology are fantastic.

Then again, I suppose an iPad is a step in the right direction from a nintendo DS, which alot of people use as a portable digi-sketckbook!
