when we left off, Nick had just told Madi and Casey that the traditional 40 minute lockdown was starting...
Casey: OH EM JAY! We get to be a part of the 40 minute lockdown!!!
Madi: AH NO WAY!!!
Nick: Haha, yeah. Come on we're gonna warm up our vocals.
*The girls follow Nick to where everyone else is*
*Mr. Jonas' phone rings, so he goes off to the side and takes the call*
Kevin: Hey Casey.
Casey: Hey, this is SO kewl! I'm still getting over the fact that I'm backstage with you and your brothers! This is so kewl!
Kevin: Haha, the concert hasn't even started yet!
Casey: It doesn't matter, this is just so amazing!
*Mr. Jonas walks back over*
Mr. Jonas: Bad news guys.
Joe: What?!
Nick: How bad?!
Kevin: What is it?!
Mr. Jonas: Avril can't come. Apparently [spell check] on the way here, her driver accidently ran into another car, and she wasn't buckled in, so she flew forward and hit her head on the windshield.
Casey: Oh my gosh!
Madi: That's terrible!
Joe: Whoa! I hope she'll be okay!
Kevin: I know.
Nick: Man, I feel so bad for her!
Kevin: Same.
Madi: *under her breath to Casey* Man, I really wanted to meet her.
Casey: *under her breath also* Me too.
Mrs. Jonas: Aw, poor Avril. We should send her flowers!
Kevin: That would be nice, but we gotta warm up.
Joe: Yeah.
Nick starts singing and warming up his voice with Kevin and Joe.
Nick: *turns to Madi* How was that?
Madi: Excellent.
Joe: Man, I'm so pumped!
Everyone spent the next 30 minutes warming up their voices and gettin pumped for the concert.
Nick: Let's pray.
Everyone except for Madi and Casey joined arms and bowed their heads.
Kevin: *looks over* Hey Madi, Casey, come over here!
Madi and Casey joined the prayer circle and bowed their heads like everyone else.
Mr. Jonas: Dear Lord, thank You for everything You've blessed us with. We are grateful for all of You're many blessings, and we... *he goes on*
Everyone in unison puts their hands up and does Camp Fire!
Everyone in unison: Living the dream, living the dream, living the dream!
Madi and Casey: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPP!
Casey: We were part of Camp Fire!!!
Madi: I know! It was AH-mazing!!!
Everyone stares and gets all quiet... Madi and Casey see them staring and laugh. Everyone joins in the laughter.
Nick: Whoo! Rooney is almost done, and we're about to go on.
Kevin: *talking to the girls* You guys should go get your seats!
Casey: Ok, break a leg! Oh, well...
Madi: Yeah!
The two girls both give hugs to everyone. (I might point out that Madi gave Nick a longer hug than anyone and Casey gave Kevin a longer hug also) Just before Casey and Madi left, Madi whispered something into Nick's ear and he nodded, then whispered to his brothers, and they nodded also.
Then they ran to their center, front row (!) seats!
Just as Casey and Madi get to there seats Rooney walks off stage.
Casey: What did you say to Nick?
Madi: Actually, it was a question, and you will see! Do you have your camera?
Casey: *pulls camera out* CHYEAH!
Madi: Oh my gosh! I love you! *gives her sister a hug*
Casey: EEEEPPP! Here they come!
They boys run out on stage.
Nick: We've had a change of plans...
Kevin: I know you guys were aware that Avril Lavigne was supposed to be here...
Nick: But... she wasn't able to make it.
The crowd: aaawwww!
Joe: But the show must go on, we're still going to rock out tonight!
The crownd: AAAAHHHHH!
Nick: So... ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!?!
The crowd: AAAAAAAHHHH!!!!
Kevin: We'll take that as a yes!
The crowd: *some laughter* YEAHHH! WHOOOO!
Nick starts singing...
One day when I came home
at lunch time
I heard a funny noise
Went out to the backyard
To find out if it was one of the rowdy boys
Stood there with the neighbor
called Peter...
(etc.)
As they finished Year 3000 the crowd cheered and screamed.
They sang lost of others songs, like Just Friends, Goodnight & Goodbye, Australia, Take a Breath, and Still In Love With You.
After they finished Still In Love With You, Nick ran over to Joe and whispered something, and Joe nodded, then Nick signaled Kevin and ran over to the other band mates and told them what was going on, finally he ran back to his own microphone.
Joe: Ok... *waited for the screaming to die down* We're going to sing a song, we don't usually do.
The crowd screamed like there was no tomorrow.
Nick: If you know the words, sing along! It's called...
