On Saturday night over four million kids across Canada, are expected to hits the streets in their scariest costumes, in search of delicious sugar treats. Each child usually bags between 50 and 100 pieces of candy. One fifth of those will eat all of their goodies in one night, while most will take up to two weeks to finish theirs. With child obesity and diabetes rates at all time highs, the annual sugar rush has nutritionists and dentists sending out their annual warnings. One dentist in Des Moines is offering "cash for candy" by offering a dollar for each pound of candy returned to her. For the candy industry - it is their second biggest with sales expected to top $300 million. For the next two days or so, getting healthy foods into your kids may be particularly challenging, but is it possible? With obesity and diabetes rates skyrocketing healthy eating is no longer an option for many, but a necessity. So what's the secret? David Grotto, author of "101 Foods That Could Save Your Life," and Dr. Gregor Schrott were in the studio tonight to answer that question.
