I'm confused by some of your inferences. Egypt and Israel are both in the Middle East. How does a Jewish temple in Egypt provide good evidence for claims that a group of Israelites traveled across the ocean and built a temple in the Americas (where no such archaeological evidence exists)?

It specifically refutes an anti-Mormon argument that only a TRUE Jew would believe in ONLY 1 temple, that one in Jerusalem. They argue that the BofM is phony because IF Nephi had been a real Jew, he would NEVER have built another temple. Now we know that true and real Jews ALSO built temples outside of Jerusalem.

Real ones with degrees from B.Y.U and everything.Smithsonian uses the Bible as refence for historical dig's. They don't even use the B.O.M as a bed time story.
