  • how do you think this guitar compares to a martin with the same specs?

  • @shawnyboy124 This is a copy of a martin...if I had the money...I normally want to buy the real stuff....so its a martin...second reason is Martin guitars hold their value in the resale market...so if you are upgrading to another guitar it makes economic sense to go the Martin way...cheers Jarvis

  • what do u think about guitars in all areas? good and bads....

  • @shanniekbr sorry i dont quite understand your question

  • @shanniekbr you mean this guitar...its a great sounding piece...cheers

  • I know that guitar is all in the sound and feel but man that's one ugly headstock haha

  • Sounds great! I agree with the others, the headstock's a bit busy-looking. What are the other OM choices that are at roughly the same price point as BR-163?

  • I am being offered a deal on this guitar (cutaway version)

$999 with case and swark tuner

Anyone know any similar quality guitars for the same price range that I should check out?

  • Do the br-163a historic model have the over the top headstock now only? Because Ive seen ones with the normal blueridge headstock with just the name and no mother of pearl crap.. the br-143a and br-183a have the normal headstock.. yet all the 163a's I see have the over the top headstock..

  • Blueridge have some good models in terms of sound but they are too much into way out inlays, fanciful appearances like the headstock you see here. This knda put some people off where Blueridge guitars are concerned. Some may say all these fancy make the guitar look ugly.

  • I agree with mike, Although it sounds quite nice I'm not a fan of the overboard martin d100 style bling bling. I am a great lover of beautifull guitars and like to throw a lutehole in mine. I do like its dark sitka top though... my breedlove's sitka top has darkened enough now to look more like cedar :)
