Anna is absolutely deliciously evil... I agree about the initial invasion was a bit contrived. The public reaction was a little to forgiving for an invasion of the planet.. I really liked the props they gave to the 4400 show on USA.... The location of the warehouse wasw on 4400 road

I agree that the exchanges between Scott Wolf's character and Anna were the most compelling. I am going to keep watching and see where it goes from here - let me know what you think of the next episode!

I would have loved this show when i was 17 or 18 but at 28 everything just seems kind of cheesy. Except for exchanges between the reporter and Ana. She reminds me of a mashup between Garak the tailor the from DS9 and early Boomer from BSG, before she shot the admiral.
The show could be better if they added a 3rd dimension like u said. Showing more than one religion, more than one news station, more mixed random population reactions to the aliens.

About the show not surprising you, I has a similar experience with Astro Boy. I mean it was a good movie but he's origin story has been told at least 3 times before.
I think it would be more interesting if the priest left the faith altogether. Realising that his religion was doing the same kinds of things as the Vs
When I first saw the show I had no idea it was an allegory to Nazi Germany but I was pretty young back then.

I agree about the priest, its funny how he was speaking about how dangerous devotion was in regards to the V's, but basically same thing can be said to organized religion.
