The Atlanta Black LGBT Coalition held a press conference at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta on Jan. 12, 2009 to announce plans to protest the appearance of Rev. Rick Warren during the MLK holiday commemoration. Warren is scheduled to headline the event Jan. 19 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The coalition criticized Warren for his anti-gay views and asked that the church remove him from the program.
