My friends and I still play the long dead Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game. Anyone who has played in before knows that they goal is not to defeat anyone, but to survive until you arrive at the game's final location. During your turn, all other players are allowed to play evil characters to try and stop you. My friend Jeremy enjoys a challenge, so he allowed my friends Josh and Nick as many opportunities as possible to do just that, leading to this final, and impressive battle between his party of six heroes and an army of some nine or so evil characters.

For those of you who actually know the game, you should know that the following cards were proxies, and what they represent (excuse spelling mistakes, please):

-Gandalf the Gray=Ratagast the Brown
-Questions that Need Answering=Ratagast's Bag
-Gandalf's Staff=Ratagast's Staff
-3 Blank cards=Servant of the Secret Fire x3

His Gandalf and Aragorn were proxies as well for other versions of the characters, but it doesn't change the outcome at all. Realize he does own the above cards, but they were still in the mail, having been ordered from an online store only recently.

I apologize for all of the popping early on. My Droid has issues...

  • @syntheticsetty Oh, ic. This deck is really cool. I play it with a couple of hobbits, quickbeam and erland... some saved from the fire burning quickbeam and gandalf to bring the another gandalf and his stuff... paired with shadowplay and unheeded and gandalf spells. Works preety well! :)
