  • Had this surgery almost one week ago and the relief was immediate. Just have some soreness around the incision area. Dr. told me not to lift, twist or over do in any way. I will be going back to work tomorrow and can't wait!! I have been in the house WAY too long!!

  • the soccer player had this surgery last march, now he is playing and ruining like a horse check him out his is Higuain he did it Chicago with Dr. Richard Fessler ,,I'm gonna do the same Operation this July any advices ,,,,,

  • I am having this exact procedure in a few weeks. My father had the same procedure for two disc herniations. He felt great immediately. Leg pain, numbness and foot drop went away almost immediately as well. Takes about 2 to 4 weeks to be able to go back to work. But no bed rest required, in fact they want you to keep moving. Just no lifting anything heavier than a phone or 10 lbs.

Some reports of the surgery not working can depend on the severity of the herniations on the nerves and the time th

  • I had L5/S1 Endoscopic Discectomy 12 days ago. The numbness in my thigh, foot, and toes was gone immediately after the surgery. But I am still having sciatic pain (manageable) when I walk. I still limp a bit as such. I will have my 1st follow appt with my surgeon next week.

  • I had my micro-discectomey over a year now and it has caused more pain and numbness... Sucks. why don't Dr's. here do Disc implants like the u.s.a??? I've heard nothing but good things, also all I hear regarding Micro-discectomies is they are no good, stay away..... as the cutting of the back muscle eventually makes things worse and destabilization of your core is eventual...Leave it to the Canadian health system to take the cheapest way out, causing more pain and suffering in the end.

    Peace

  • i had this done 2 months ago- when do i feel better?

  • Thank you for this presentation. It was most helpful in illustrating for my children what I will be going through very shortly.

  • @Sammy9397 Thanks for the advice. I go back the "doc" on monday, now they want to take post-op mri. Its quite obvious to me now that noone can relate to me unless they have had some sort of physical agony. Ive all but given up on returning to my life as i knew it, for my body and mind are strangers to me... I'm withdrawn to the point of seriously making plans to borrow into the side of a hill and giving the crusty old hermit lifestyle a go. Good luck to you all , I have felt your pain.

  • @dirtyatc & @moe80ca... I felt sucidal too. I still say if that pain came back to get me a bus schedule so I know where to be standing & at what time. 6 years of that pain was far too long. Especially since no doctor ever said, lets get an MRI & when I wanted once cuz I couldn't move I was asked.. Why? What do u want surgery or something?... Geez. Hope you found out some information on what can be done for you!!

  • @dirtyatc If u r in you were 4th wk.. you'd still B healing & u should just about B ready 4 physical therapy. My doctor had me wait 6 weeks 2 come back after my surgery. I rec'd the same story about losing weight & working out. But I decided 2 hold my anger since I used to be in constant pain & was depressed. So I couldn't wkout & I ate cuz of depression. I hope @ 8 wks u r feeling better!! I have therapy exercises if u need them.
