I guess a "How to build your own tricorder" manual would be handy. :)

When are you going to start on a 'transporter'?

metal or plastic and how hard was it to build
-
I want one!!!

How did you make the body? learning how to make the led circuits and such is simply learning, but do you use an existing tricorder shell, buy one, or mould your own?
if you know of any tutorials online for any of it or have made some yourself let me know!

Bradley, you have a little too much time on your hands, haha. You'll have to show me it when I come home for Christmas.

@thetrumpeteer16 Pretty sweet though, right? I just have to figure out the battery thing... for the video the unit was run with a 9V battery and what should be used is a 6V lithium battery... Then it would light up for hours and hours instead of minutes,

what star trek show was the mark X used on and the mark 9.

@jsf525 The Mark IX was used in Star Trek: DS9 and Voyager from 96 (when it was introduced in Star Trek First Contact) to the end of the series.... The basic design stayed the same in the Mark X ... Not really sure when it switched and what the differences are... The Mark XI was introduced in Star Trek Nemesis, but the LED's aren't as detailed and it only has a couple sets of sequencing lights...

Mylar, glue, paint, and a ton of time... I also had a little bit of help from some friends on the circuitry... Good project that took close to 6 months to complete.
