Unbelievable discourse between Judge Andrew Napolitano and Congressman Clyburn of South Carolina on Constitutionally defined role of the Federal Government. This was on "Brian and the Judge" on September 8, 2009. This gives one an idea of how liberals interpret the Constitution.

  • Why, that's a relief! The federal government is me? So, when they decide to arrest me and throw me in Gitmo for having the wrong opinion, that's just me throwing myself in Gitmo? That makes me feel so much better.

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA LAST 20 SECONDS BHAHAHAHAHA

  • It's always what's inside that matters. You cut open (metaphor) a collectivist you'll see they're all basically pink at their core.

  • @DaveEZ2009 If someone gives you an overly broad motto like "the government is us" you take them to task and bring it to the extreme. That is, since that motto cannot be argued against you can point out that it endorses mob rule over the rule of law. Most people will not like this conclusion, but it is inescapable. When people over simplify they are allowing you to go to the extreme, because over simplification is extreme in itself. Normally, you should not go to extremes, though.

  • my aunt is a big hillary then obama liberal. when i talked to her about privatization, she brought up the triangle shirtwaist fire, wal-mart, and said "the government is us." i've heard "the government is us" said a few times by liberals now and it pisses me off to high hell. what do u usually respond to this with? or is the government really us?
