  • @swedeeepie they used 'i'm a believer' for legal reasons for a video release, the director's cut dvd/ the blu ray put the original song back in eventually

  • Joel and Ethan co-wrote with Sam Raimi Crimewave before Blood Simple. Raimi also directed it. Very funny movie.

  • I SWEAR this movie ended with the song "I'm a Beleiver" by the Monkees. But now it ends with "Same Od Song'. What gives?

I LOVE Blood Simple, and the Coen Bros movies. But as much as I love their movies, I wasn't a fan of their new Directors cut of this movie. They said they wanted to shorten it for pace and rhythm in the storytelling. But I feel they cut out most of their best Coenisms and most quotable parts. Anyone else seen both versions, and agree their Director's Cut was not as good as the original?

I wish they'd release their original version on DVD/BluRay.

  • love this film... it's almost perfect in my books

  • MUCH better than the trailer that ran for the film officially. Keep up the good work.

  • deserves ALOT more credit ,one of THé best film-noir addeptions

  • for a trailer, you gave too much away. Marty pointing the gun in the grave = shouldn't have seen who he was pointing it at. Abby in the cross hairs = shouldn't have seen her dodge out the way. Plus you missed a trick not using the piano tune that runs throughout the movie - or Same Old Song by the Four Tops.

    still...

  • Good work, well done. Really makes me want to watch the film again so it works! John Powells music fits nicely. This movie, Fargo and No Country for Old Men feel like a trilogy, lots of murder, roads and confusion.
