Η Ελληνική Πολεμική Αεροπορία, διαθέτει: 129 F-16, 45 Mirage 2000, 35 F-4E και 41 A-7E. Σύνολο 250 μαχητικά.

Η αναλογία 1 προς 1,2 σε μαχητικά υπέρ της Τουρκίας, κρίνεται ως αμελητέα.

Εάν λάβουμε υπ’ όψιν ότι τα μη εκσυγχρονισμένα F-4E της Τουρκικής Αεροπορίας και τα Α-7Ε της Ελληνική Πολεμικής Αεροπορίας είναι περιορισμένης αποδοτικότητος, τότε τα αεροσκάφη «πρώτης γραμμής» της Τουρκίας ανέρχονται σε 260 και της Ελλάδος σε 210. Η διαφορά των 40 αεροσκαφών, δεν είναι κρίσιμης σημασίας.

Τα Mirage 2000-5 είναι απολύτως συγκρίσιμα με τα F-16 Block 52+ και συνθέτουν ανώτερη απειλή για τους Τούρκους που θα τολμήσουν να αναμετρηθούν στο Αιγαίο φερουν το βλημα scalp stealth fire and forget,,εμβελειας 250 χλμ

An F-4E would have a kill ratio of 3:1 against the mig29 while barely defeating a Su34. The F-4X,if ever made, would have outperformed both Mig25 and 31 in terms of speed; an F-4 with PW1120 and other modernisation would have performed similarly to an F-15A. Russia still has to present something that matches the F4 as a whole(NOT low-speed short-term maneuverability).Even my electrical 3D RC plane can do Cobras.

F4E is still better than the mig29. It has better aerodynamics at higher speeds. The mig29 is only capable to 7.33G like the F4 at combat speed while suffering from short range at that speed. I saw mig 29's performance envelope back in 1994.
