  • I still have the XT. Still love it. Got the jeep cos we have had a kid, the jeep allows me to do all that fun stuff, just smoother and easier ( gotta keep the better half happy ). Re the Turbo, what you have got setup is ideal. The turbos tend to heat up alot more, and have higher gearing, (non dual range box). I ended up putting a second little radiator and a dual box for the better gearing. That helped with the heat in the sand. Also adding the a/t tyres on 16" rims made a massive difference.

  • @SuperJuleslee Ok, still use the Foz much offroad or mainly the Jeep now? I can understand the high gearing being an issue? Burn your clutch much? I am yet to overheat my 2.0l N/A even while powering on the dunes on a 45degree day :D I love having the lo range, biggest issue though being power, she seems to loose revs too easily. Thats where a turbo or even more powerful motor would come in handy. Yeah A/T tyres do make a huge difference.

  • Just bought the go pro. Yet to use but what a great little camera. Great to see another forester having fun in the sand. We did some very similar terrain in and around robe, sa. XT turbo fos - AT's LR gearbox.

  • @SuperJuleslee Thanks, yeah I wouldn't mind a go pro camera oneday. Great little cars, pretty capable once setup as mine is slowly getting. I was quite a fan of your XT. Have you sold it? I would love a turbo but being a young rev head already its probably better I stick to the 2.0l Foz.

  • AT or MT?

Also did you have the stock Geolandars on?

  • @mando1337 H/T bald stock size Bridgestone Duelers. Not bad for a highway tyres but nothing compared to a A/T tyre. More videos to come, just got back from a huge trip.

  • 240k on my US 2001 forester. barely broken in;) had it since 54 miles when i bought it in 2000

  • @BandB1111111 I have a honda quad bike and I think that would be the only thing vehicle wise that could do it. Only a quad bike or motor bike. I will have to post up some more modern videos of my car in action.

  • @taza11659 looking for a camera, now...maybe the GoPro.

  • @BandB1111111 Yeah I had 20psi in the Highway tyres that were on her. Now when I go sand or beach driving I put them down to 14-15 and it helps even more (I have Yokohama Geolander AT-S tyres that are slightly wider than stock size). I have had to once put them down to 8 and that was fine in a straight line to get through some soft beach sand but usually 15 is good enough. Post some videos of your car when you get a chance mate.... im keen to see what she can do!
