  • I remember watching this first episode. I rolled my family's black and white Motorola television from the kitchen into my bedroom, to the foot of my bed. I watched it weekly until I graduated high school and moved to Los Angeles in 1976. There I recognized in the Santa Susanna mountains west of town, the location where the Republic serials were filmed.

  • @lcr466 Sounds like we had a similar experience, except I was a tad little younger and had a TV to myself in basement! Must have been cool to see where the serials were filmed. I moved to LA in 83 & lived there 'til 98.

  • Oh my god how that brings back memories! Thank you for this! I used to sneak out of bed at night as a kid to watch Sinister Cinema!

  • @mabelhank You're welcome! :)

  • I lived for sat nights as a kid when I could stay up after everyone else was in bed and watch Sinister Cinima, absolutely great, thank's for posting this!!!

  • I just remembered: Mum and I used to joke that the Ron Tonkin car adverts were scarier than the films. Thanks, again! (BTW, I was probably all of six...)

  • Thanks to Victor, Head, and Ravenscroft, I can't watch a Hammer Horror film without laughing 'til I cry! Thank you for posting this GEM. (Gotta go watch all of them, now.) They just don't make local TV like this anymore.
