V-Ray 2.0 for 3ds Max - V-Ray Lens Effects VRayLensEffects - Render effect for producing glow and glare with support for obstacle images and diffraction
@JerryTheSquid Thank you for the answer! :D I really hope it will be one day, I'm patient...however in the mean time I'll have to use some boring workarounds :(
@bluetorch13 They're different tools for different jobs. Most 3D artists make extensive use of Photoshop (or similar software) to create textures for their scenes.
@realsoccerdude123 I believe this works just like MentalRay in the sense that it makes anything past a certain brightness glow. Use the camera lens effect in MR which comes with Max and you'll get the same result. It's not limited to lights, it works with any object which is bright. (self-illumination)
just when I was thinking about migrating to Mental Ray due to the "Glare" feature, the Chaos Group revolutionizes again, making me go back to the friendly Vray!
i love vray YAAAYYYYYYY

@jabg2011 I'm sorry I didn't specify, this is 100 times better for Bloom and Glare, I still use photoshop for many other things.

Hi i am a huge fan of Vray and ive been following your videos about vray2.0 on youtube.
Ive got a little doubt and ive been looking for its answer all over the internet.Ill be most happy if you solve my doubt about lens effect.
The question is can Vray lens effect be restricted to only 1 or 2 lights when we are working on big scene which has about 15 lights?
thanks:)
