technically that isn't moving(locomotion). it's just a physical response to a stimulant(touch, light intensity etc).
also, note the base of each stem is sort of swollen. that part is sort of like a 'brain' in mediating this response.

They grow wild in QLD australia - bitches to step on

@laurasp3 Actually, nevermind, I'll buy a greenhouse.
-
@Xaxton2 well, where from? i don't want to kill it :(
-
@laurasp3 You can have mine if you can find a way to ship it without killing it and you have a greenhouse that measures 4x4x4 feet.

@Xaxton2 thanks xaxton! I want to get one... I can't believe I posted that 1 year ago lol

@laurasp3 Mimosa Pudica

we have hundreds in my house, in a country, somewhere in the equator

its a mimosa. i have one. they are really cool. they do that so that if an animal is coming along, all they will get is a bunch of thorns. all you have to do is keep on petting it and the branches will fold down and reveal thorns. one time i was in carolina and met a few wild ones. not a good situation when you have shorts on! :(
that' s a *laugh* mimosa (me-moss-sa)
