Let's Play Manhunter: New York - Part 01 - It's a MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD World.

Worst luck. Bombing on the first day of the new job. Yep, it's your first case as a Manhunter. You're a human detective living in post-alien-invasion New York City, and it's your job to do what the aliens can't: monitor human activity. The aliens are Orbs, intelligent floating eyeballs. As a human, you are forced to wear brown robes and never speak.

Manhunter: New York is weird for an 80s Sierra game. It's one of the first point and click adventure titles, featuring almost no text input. It has a lenient death and save system, and almost never lets you get stuck without a way out. Allllmost never. It's also one of my favorite games ever made.

If i can remember correctly ppl use to walk around in scarry hooded robes, there was some kind of 'Pig-man' that we saw that was the final straw of patience. Never to play the game again after seeing that...lol

This is definitely my favourite "Sierra" game. Played it (and San Francisco) a few years back.

Thanks for this great walk through. I remember playing this and the original and they're very hard to track down these days so your video was a great find. I'm in the UK and it's a very little known game here, strange how the game ended up creating the same kind of cult following that it was portraying.

Ive been wanting to not only FIND what this game was called, but also see a walkthrough after 20 yrs. It was a buddies game that when i was 10 yrs old i use to go to his house and watch him play it, he was so into it he would never let me play - i just had to watch. We use to play in a unfinished concrete basement IN THE DARK, and not only were we spaced out confused about what was happening in this game, but we were scared shitless!
