Just me messing about with paintings, first part of the video (first minute or so) is there to show you how to make them.

MeltedFlowers is right folks. Paintings are now created with sticks around the outside, rather than actual wood blocks. Sticks are made from crafting by placing two wooden tiles on top of each other. You'll get 4 sticks for every two wooden blocks used.

What is the difference between alpha and beta versions of Minecraft? Because I had to use sticks. And can you install mods on alpha?
