  • I hear what your saying Bud. In terms of it being "all about the show" it's called small business marketing, I don't do it because I have some hyper inflated ego that needs to see myself on the idiot box, it's just how I make my living. What do you do for a job? As for survival rates for large flathead, the only way we'll ever know is through a comprehensive tagging program which we are working on getting established as part of the research component to the business. Point taken. Cheers.

  • THE FLATTIE IS FUCKED BOYS!! Clearly its not swimming away so Its traumatise, weak and dying. Give her 3 days and she'll be floating belly up for the Tailors to chomp on. GOOD ONYAS BOYZ WELL DONE!!! show offs.

  • @2528tony

Tony we have successfully been catching and releasing these fish for years. The tank pumps 45l per min so the fish are well hydrated and we have the latest technology low emission engine so pumping oil is not an issue. In this day and age it's so easy to hide behind internet anonymity and throw stones. The promotion of catch and release is of paramount importance. Go and have a winge to the local clubs who still practice "fillet and release" of 1 metre long specimens.

  • tony you are a knob, you saw the fish swim off , flatties like that big girl need a while to recover from anything because they are old

  • @2528tony ***give her 3 days and she'll be floating belly up***

What a load of BS. I see from your YT page you troll websites posting filth.

  • Excellent! Beautiful fish, lads. As to the naysayers, jealousy's a terrible thing..

  • Well done guys, great flathead. To all the people who think it won't live, YOUR WRONG. like he said its close to 15 years old and has prob been caught before. The flathead doesn't need to swim away to prove its OK. By the looks of that Flathead he owns the Basin, he was just relaxing Sussex Inlet style.

  • not convinced that big female was gunna make it thru the night.. still unsure why live well catch and release fishing is practiced.. take a page from us guys that catch bass on the mid north coast nsw and take a photo on the brag board and send them back then and there... as someone said before, its all about the show for u guys

  • PS. She'll also have her gill filter full of outboard oil (mercury) form the surface water being pumped through her tiny little hot hell hole of a cell she would of been cramped in.

  • hey guys thats friggen awesome i live in sanctuary point and i swear ive seen you out there before at a guess youse are out near oakley island ill see you around there sometime good work mate!
