wish it would show a real turntable being made... like an sl1200 or some vestax stuff...

"dangling ball" (weight) visible at 4:45 ... like a Pro-Ject. But you're right, no mention of it.

No they are either teflon or silk coated and the joints are covered with heat shrink. Not very impressed with that guys soldering or the use of that ruler - would have thought they have something a bit more accurate given the cost of that TT

As a $2000+ Audophile phono, this W-B turntable actually makes an SL1200 look like a toy found in a cereal box.

At 4:23 anyone else notice the wobbly motor shaft and how it wobbles the belt?

I think that he may refer to a "real turntable" as a DJ's turntable.

You are completely wrong when stating your position as simply as that.

Now if you were to say "Nothing beats a Technics SL1200 when comparing average purchase prices vs. performance", there is a chance you could be right. I don't have access to the price database on Audiogon to look into this further. If there is another turntable that can beat Technics at the same pricepoint, I would put money on the older Denon direct drives (DP-45 and up).
