@MolokaiAlika I already mentioned how Lydia Dominis signed this so called abdication that was never countersigned as stated by the 1864 & 1887 Constitutions. Why didn't anyone sign it? Why even after this ABDICATION did the US resort to a Joint Resolution? Isn't it obvious?
@MolokaiAlika You keep bragging about coming from a chiefly line as if to tell others that you're better than na alii. What "errors" are you exactly not talking about that occurred during Kalakaua's reign? Because it seems more like you just being bitter b/c Emma was never voted for. And what exactly is this "more power" you're talking about when in reality the articles reimplemented in the 1892C was exactly what was in the 1864C. You avoid that by telling me I'm avoiding the issue.
I am Native Hawaiian of a chiefly line, but errors occurred in the Kalakaua dyanasty that sealed the Kingdom's fate. Both Kalakaua and Liliu were extravogant in their spending and they were incompetent as rulers. Strong willed, stubborn and impulsive. This lead to concerns by the Hawaiian community. Her attempt to initiate a revised constitution that would give her more power was of concern, since the dynasty was already impetuous. Liliu's signing of abdication concluded the revolution. Pau
das right brah.......das good u brought that up hawaiian, cuz this things we need to let people know what went on and what they did to da hawaiian people.we should go to alabama and have hawaiian parade? and see if they like it. aloha halewaimaka oni'pa'a.
Good for you Halewaimaka for posting this...natives of Hawaii must feel like voices in the wilderness. American imperialism certainly was brutal in Hawaii....and still is?
