#9 - ダーリンはMESSYな外国人？(日本語)

Recently checked out the movie 「ダーリンは外国人」"My darling is a foreigner" because one of my friends showed me the manga before and I figured it would make a pretty interesting adaptation into a movie. What I got though was pretty upsetting.

For a topic many Japanese are so involved with, I would have expected a little more depth to the whole thing than just the fact that her boyfriend can't clean up after himself (I'm sorry, since when was that a Western labeled trait?).

I feel like this movie could have spoken a lot more deeply to some of the issues people have with 国際結婚 and shed some light on the matter. Instead it failed miserably at being anything more than a typical run of the mill romance flick where the main characters just happened to be from different cultures.

Maybe I'm being too harsh? I dono. Leave some comments! Don't forget to rate and subscribe too! Cool beans!
