  • I sometimes use an old sock and put around my wrist so oil doesn't leak down my forearm.

I Let the engine run for a lil bit before the oil change, that way, it'll flow quicker.

Why didn't you drain the oil first?

On a real boring day, I just let the oil drain for half an hour.

  • I think the white plastic piece comes with a new filter.

  • ohh yeah u didnt lube the seal on the filter, gunna leak buddy

  • thanks for pointing that out. I checked my original footage and it seems I left that part out of the final video. I'll probably re-do this vid next time I change this guy's oil and make sure to include all the comments and suggestions on here.

  • instead of unscrewing the oil filter drain plug why not just pull oil filter housing emty it that way you have 1 less thing to do

  • yeah, I'm glad you brought that up - it's a great point. That was my very first Camry oil change; I wasn't 100% clear on what was going on.

  • @dockf Remember...a Toyota Camry 3.5L V6 is as quick or quicker than a Dodge Charger 5.7L V8.

  • @ZentRose

Actually those specs are strait out of my hayens service Manuel. So yes they are correct.

  • @RAJSTA81 I am talking about the oil filter canister housing cap. It has a different torque spec than the housing itself. I would recommend you get a service manual for your car if you intend to work on it. The internet is often filled with wrong information.

  • @ZentRose

Torque specs are actually correct...Go look it up

  • Just remember when you change the oil filter to fill the filter half way because if you don't when you start it it'll be running dry with no oil for the first 2-3 sec

  • The white thing that comes with the filter clicks into the bottom of the filter housing to drain it, and remove the old o ring.

  • can u make one for the v6 2004 camry

  • Torque specs are wrong, good try though. This is not a how to video, it is a video of you doing an oil change.

  • @zhanghe917 LOL Just take it to 93nx2000 he works for toyota.

  • @tyebone28 I beleive its the same. The XLE, LE and ce are the same.I own 09 camry LE.
