This is a great HOT tune I recorded of the Uptown Lowdown Jazz Band at THE 14TH ANNUAL GLACIER JAZZ STAMPEDE festival, Saturday, October 6th, 2007.

The song title is:
"SINCE MY BEST GAL TURNED ME DOWN"

Uptown Lowdown is one of the most popular bands on the dixieland/trad jazz circuit today, and I can never seem to get enough of the great music they perform.

Band Members:
Bert Barr - Cornet/Leader
Rose Barr - Piano
Tom Jacobus - Trombone
Paul Woltz - Reeds
John Goodrich - Reeds
Art Horgen - Tuba
Al LaTourette - Banjo

Check out the websites above for more information and CD's.

  • what a great band. i being a 16 year old had an chance to play in a annual band reunion with my grandfather. they needed a tuba, (there are only 5 left of about 30 members) and i got a chance to play with them. if anyone gets a chance to play/watch an old band like this, take it. Uptown Lowdown should come to Portland Oregon sometime!

  • great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
