This is the original Star Wars Trailer, each frames has been painted using DAP (Dynamic Auto Painter) then reassembled in Virtuadub with its original soundtrack.

2925 frames, 3 average Dual core computers, 4 days of rendering plus some editing in photoshop.

Additional softwares : Topaz Simplify & Do it again.

  • @leonanim True, i've been telling this to myself since i made this video. Problem is you can't use the exact same painting rendering on multiple frames. It's never the same from one frame to another.

  • Frame rate is too high. The effect is jittery and doesn't really look like a painted illustration come to life.
