The Great Muppet Caper is the second of several films feauturing Jim Henson's Muppets. Released to theatres in 1981, the movie was a box office succes and has today recieved mostly positive reviews making it the third highest grossing Muppet Movie of all time, behind The Muppet Movie and Muppet Treasure Island.

@zacktronelectrify4 That's because these movies aren't actual events in the Muppets lives. Kermit and the rest get everyone together and they make a film, as friends. I mean, just because there was twelve years separating "Muppets From Space," and "The Muppets" (2011) doesn't mean the Muppets didn't see each other for twelve years. They're performers!
