Why Was Cop Killer Free?

Philadelphia police officer Patrick McDonald was killed last week by a recently paroled violent criminal. Now, many are wondering how the alleged shooter, Daniel Giddings, was paroled given his criminal record. Does the parole system need to be reviewed as PA Gov. Ed Rendell requested? And, how can we keep these violent criminals behind bars, serving their time?

I can't believe the first caller had the gall to blame the prison system for McDonald's death. Obviously prison isn't pleasant. It's not supposed to be! But if you don't want to go back, the way to stay out is obeying the law, not shooting at cops.
