In the movie the woman abuses her own kids(she locked one of her children in a shed claiming he was sprayed by a skunk, but left him there for days). And I agree, people who abuse children are sick and should be beat in prison.

the pain she went through should be a lesson for us all, this is what shouldn't happen to a child. Even if the child isn't yours, if the child is a nephew, niece, a friend's child, this should never happen. The step-mother should've been hung for what she did and the father should've been executed for allowing this to happen. But without the story we will never know what to do with child abuse, that only we can put an end to it, Its not magic, it can be stopped if we try

its discusting to hear that adults like to kill their own step-children. whats the point in agree-ing to look after a child then just abuse them?
