They say baseball is a game that requires hand eye coordination, luck, and patience. With the 2009 season in full swing, Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz is mired in one of the worst slumps of his career. It is a slump that has critics throwing around accusations of past steroid use, and has even his biggest supporters worried about whether or not Big Papi has seen his best days on the diamond.

In this week's BLTV Sports segment, Gil Matos and the team's newest
member, Omar Cabrera discuss the the struggles of the big man.

  • Big Sloppy Sucks

  • Another big reason is stamina increase and improved physical recovery.

  • I think people overestimate the power of "juice." It doesn't make a bad hitter great. It makes a great hitter a little tiny bit stronger... Ortiz's struggles have nothing to do with Steroids

  • Maybe Big Papi decided to give up the juice, unlike Manny. Seems funny how all of a sudden he's not only homerless, he's not even reaching the wall! What's up with that??

And I AM a Red Sox fan. But call a spade and spade.

  • Welcome OMAR !! Cesar, we miss you !!! Glad sports are back!
