SKIP TO 32 SECONDSS!! - sorry! stupid movie maker, blanked the first load of my clips grrrr
firstly sorry for the off timings i had to change the music!!**
So yes guys you know it, we've hit another brick wall!
I think i explained the beginning of this in my previous video but basically in the beginning of sept 2011, chip got undiagnosed lameness. There was no apparent injury, and he went up to my local vet and had four vets look at him but they had no clue what was going on. So then we took him to the bigger vets a few hours away in Berkely where he stayed for 5 days (was horrible :( ) and he had bone scans, x rays, lame work ups the whole works. They basically found what they think must have been a result of an injury (although we have never seen him with one) that resulted in fluid in the bone of his back knee, and they basically gave us 2 options to either take him straight into surgery or give him a steroid injection then bring him home and leave him on box rest, as sometimes it can recovery with time, and if no improvement will results in surgery.
I decided to go for the steroid injection + box rest option, as the surgery carried many risks so i thought that i might as well just wait and see! So he is on box rest for one month and then has to go all the way back up to Berkely again to bascially do the same stuff to see if anything has improved.
He's been out of work for three months now and will (depending on sucessful recovery) shoulod be back in work in another 3-6 months.
However, depending on how bad it is, they can't really tell yet, will depend on how much i can do on him in he future, so i may never get/be able to do the same things again.
This has hit me really hard, as my previous videos explain i've been through hell and back with him in the past 2 years at every day carries a health problem. Not gunna lie its been extremely tough. But, i will never give up on this horse! he deserves the best life possible and i will do whatever it takes just to get him healthy!!
Sorry for absence and depressiveness of this vid, very sad time! love this horse more than is imagineable!!
im soooo srry to her about ur horse... i think its kinda odd that you haven't noticed anything leading up to this but sometimes horses can hide things no matter how bad it hurts.... once again sooo srry and i hope everything goes well with the injection+box rest.... Give him a kiss and a hug and don't let this ruin his Christmas cause he should have just as much love on Christmas as the rest of us... I'm sooo dearly sorry....

my heart goes out to you! i've also been experience health issues. the past 7 months i've been treating my mare, and our first two treatments made her condition worse. and now the vet thinks he may have misdiagnosed her back in june. there is no recovery in sight at this point and she can hardly trot :(
i can understand how tough it is not knowing of your horse will ever be ok again. it's so frustrating and most of all heart breaking. i'll be hoping for the best for you two
