I think this song was written right before he went to California in 99, to persue his career in music. He said that in a interview back in 2008, he didnt say anything about this song but he told the story of him when he finally decided to leave his home in Virginia and nobody knew he was even leaving and he said he was crying while he was driving to California.. This man is inspiring:)
