My Little Dashie (Fan music) (Piano + Strings)

*Please read description*

This is what I've been working on for the past couple of days. It took that long because the sound on my computer decided to be all douche-like, and i couldn't hear anything in FL Studio, so i had to restart my comp a couple of times for it to finally work.

Anyway, this was the result of me reading the fan-fic My Little Dashie by ROBCakeran53. My heart exploded many a time while reading it, and manly tears were shed. It's just an amazing story. Look it up on google and read it.

I loved it so much that I was inspired to make this piece of music. I was trying to make it so it would fit the part of the story where the other ponies come to the guy's house (i don't think his name is mentioned) to bring Rainbow Dash back to ponyville. If music were put into the story, i think the music would start when RD discovers she has to go back, and she and her father say good-bye to each other. I tried so hard to fit music with when they disappear, when the father remembers all the times he had with Rainbow, and when everything turns back to normal and there's no evidence of Rainbow Dash even existing,except for when he looks through his photo book and sees all the photos of him and Rainbow Dash and the letter she wrote to him.

You'll notice a couple of MLP songs in here, like Rarity's Realization (i think that's what it's called), the beginning of Winter Wrap-up, and the main theme. All the other parts that don't contain those melodies were things i came up with.

Well, i hope you enjoy it. :) If you really want to get the best out of it, try visualizing the scene that i described (as best i could lol). I did, and i seriously almost cried.

@frabjousraz I wouldn't destroy it. I would vote to keep it actually. Even though Cupcakes was very gruesome, it was a very well done fanfic, and I liked it. We shouldn't hate it, because if we hate something fanmade, i.e. Cupcakes, we are basically hypocrites by criticizing something inspired by that which we are fans of. And if we hate something, we aren't true bronies who love and tolerate. I hope I'm making complete sense, even though I rarely do that intentionally. :P

Masterfully done. I've got to ask, what synths/soundfonts did you use for the strings and piano? They're superb.

@leoninedubstep I used a VST/Plugin called Edirol Orchestral. It has basically what instruments you would want in a big orchestra, from Violin to Tuba, and even percussion.

@webduelist Well, I can't really get people who play string instruments to play a fan based piece of music that easily, considering the fact that I am probably the only Brony in the orchestra at my school. Besides, I've tried playing parts of this, including the Winter Wrap Up part on my piano, and some parts on my violin. That's gotta count for something, right?

to be honest as stupid as it sounds i can relate to the character fully. Call me insane but everyday i feel a certain darkness to this world that none of us can escape you can live in a nice home with a great family and fantastic friends but you can truly not be happy too. So everyday i think to myself if everyone was able to go to that special place of theirs for awhile and come back it would revitalize them. My special place would be Ponyville and i would visit everyday....

This is beautiful. The beginning uses my absolute favorite chord progression, I, ii, IV :D And I could hear a little bit of "Winter Wrap Up" in the piano, which made it even better. Thank you for creating what is now my favorite piece of fan music. :')
