80s SHIRTLESS TV FASHION SHOW

shirtless male models parade on daytime TV. Donohue again, one of many examples of the popularity of rather spurious 'male fashion shows' that became common on US daytime TV in the 80s progressed (and thankfully continue to this day). Despite the presence of a fashion commentator, and Phil asking questions like 'what kind of fabric is that?' (nobody's interested, Phil - you know it, and we know it), the main point was to present shirtless men parading in speedos, boxers and briefs. There's much more of this to come when we get to the 90s (clue: Go Ricki!), but Phil here was one of the pioneers.
