  • @Zest85uk why would a child decide that he doesnt want to learn? Difficulties at home, lack of discipline from parents, a poor diet with lots of sugar or caffiene, undiagnosed disorders or hyperactivity. By excluding a pupil you are essentially giving up on them, and criminalising them. What a fucking outrageous thing for our prime minister to say

  • @unipunkle yea i know what a complete prick

  • what a fucking arsehole. "Make sure you can exclude difficult pupils so they dont ruin the learning of others". Yea thats right you snobby piece of shit, just push the problem under the carpet because they obviously come from working class backgrounds

  • all im hearing is privatisation privatisation privatisation privatisation privatisation

  • fail. i'm sorry but you've got rid of the child protection stuff just for the case saving £70 checking fee's

  • Return to the O level and CSE. Let the intelligent do the academic O levels, and let the less academic do the CSE. Intelligence is not just how well one can read and memorize facts. I get A's in my exams, can read really well etc... but I can't use my hands for anything practical. I can't fix things, I can't work computers, I'm useless with anything that requires building etc. And in many cases, those with academic jobs have wages that are minute in comparison to a plumber

  • We need to get rid of this culture saying you need university education to be a success too. Intelligence is not a necessity to be successful. We have lots of manual jobs, e.g. a real shortage of plumbers and electricians, they can make lots of money

  • A return to the tripartite system is needed. Comprehensive schools are just another way for the socialists to repress success and ambition. There is no one size fits all plan for education, the child should be allocated to a class full of those of similar ability. It's not fair on a less academically able child to be in a class with more academically able.

  • Cameron said he wants to have schools built for single abilities - as a student I can tell you that sucks.

If a pupil does well in one subject like maths (getting A* I mean) but is poor in other subjects then that student can only gain a max of a C or D being in a single ability school.

  • yes, its tough love, if people who dont want to learn and because of this they disrupt other pupils who do want to learn, then they should be removed and let the people who do, do so, i agree
