Manzullo: Latest "Jobs" Bill Threatens 5 Million More American Jobs

Congressman Don Manzullo (R-IL) spoke on the House Floor in opposition to the Democrats' latest "jobs" bill that actually puts 5 million more American jobs at risk. To pay for the bill, the Democrats would impose a $7.7 billion "insourcing" tax on certain international companies that locate inside the United States and create jobs for Americans. More than 5 million Americans work for the U.S. subsidiaries of foreign companies, including 240,000 Illinoisans and thousands in the congressional district Manzullo represents. The "insourcing" tax would encourage the parents of those U.S. subsidiaries to close shop in America and move production back overseas, putting even more Americans on the unemployment lines.
