This is one of the most heart-warming stories I've seen recently. Congrats to the daddies and Samuel. It's hard to believe that Belgium could be so backward.

Cute family

I'm so happy for Samuel; he found his family! It seems incredible that for two years the Belgian authorities could not come to a quick decision in the best interest of this child. It is so obvious that Samuel should be with his parents and not in an orphanage!

Beautiful couple and a beautiful son...what a joy to watch and i wish them all the best.

Belgium's official languages are both French and Flemish (dialect of Dutch). Everybody speaks both, and you'll find many people in the Netherlands and Belgium that speak perfect English and German on top of that, plus any others that might interest them (Italian, Spanish, etc). What a beautiful story and family; it goes to show that we gay men can be great parents, too.

@ImaZombeh it's a bunny.
Wow, this is a really moving story. I hope this family will be able to find peace, they seem like such genuinely good people. I always criticize America for not allowing us gays a whole plethora of things; I often forget that people don't exactly have it easy across the Atlantic either.
Just a small observation (forgive my curiosity): one of the dads speaks Dutch, while the other one speaks French. How do they communicate with each other? Does everyone in Belgium understand French?

@wolfheart19891 as Belgium is a bilingual country (actually, it's trilingual), every Flemish child learns French as of primary school.. Peter worked in Brussels, so he would've spoken French in his profession almost 85% of the time, that's a sure way to learn a language.. Laurent and Peter speak French witch each other and with Samuel

I actually found the part about "dikke matronas" very funny and I'm pretty sure Sam will recover from all of it eventually, but for now they need a lot of patience.
Now Laurent's parents are visiting and Sam is getting used to the feeling of family! By the way Roel when the ukrainian video comes out I'm counting on you for the subtitles again. I'll send you transcription

how do i get english close caption on. I pressed CC and nothing happened

@kevinstoronto if CC is turned on, it should work (it's working for everyone else..)
when CC is active, you can hoover over the CC button, and a little menu appears with some options (to choose your font, or to set it larger)
