Pearl Road Auto Parts, an 82 year old Cleveland Ohio junk yard and recycling center paved the way for Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas to obtain zoning for their wind turbine installations. Theirs was the very first commercial wind turbine to be tied into the grid and was a first for FirstEnergy.

The EDC Group along with a host of others made this possible but it was Jon Kaplan and his dream, desire and passion that ultimately made this project a reality.

A special thanks goes out to Dave Graneto and his team, David Mallie, Stefanie Spear of Expidite Renewable Energy, Don Geitz & Associates - Architects and the city of Cleveland for believing in the viability of this installation.

Northeast Ohio is a global leader in renewable energy products and the Pearl Road installation makes it a reality.
