See http://www.webwatchworld.com/replace-watch-battery/ for the full details, more photos and information. This video and the article describe how to remove and replace a snap-on case back, which is probably the most difficult part of a watch battery replacement. The article also briefly discusses screw-on watch case back tools, which will be covered in an upcoming review.

  • I don't have an oyster knife. :( What can I use instead of the oyster knife ? I also have the same back of your watch.

  • @GODLOVEEESYOU Maybe a butter knife? It's difficult enough to do with the correct tool without scratching the watch back, so it may be even more difficult with the wrong tool.

  • hi ,

i got a question about watch battery replacement :

i heard that if you touch the inside parts of the watch with a metal tweezers

it could damage the watch ???

    is it true ?

  • @igal23yr Never heard that one before. But I guess it might be possible to create some type of static electric discharge in a quartz watch that might harm the circuitry. This has never happened to me, nor have I ever heard of it though. In a mechanical watch, touching any of the parts or moving parts isn't a good idea unless you know what you're doing also.
