Video footage on traditional reeling and the processing of silk yarn in Soufli. Mrs Despina Mourika demonstrates the traditional way of reeling (also known a "cottage reeling", i.e. unwinding the silk filament from the cocoon, feeding it into the mandziliki, the wooden hand-driven wheel serving to wind it into a skein) at the Silk Museum and then winds the thread onto massouria (spools).
