Puzzle Fighter "Mother Lode Achievement"

How to get the Mother Lode Achievement in Puzzle Fighter HD. It is to break a power gem size 25 or larger. The power gem that I have is the bare minimum for the achievement.

I tried to get this all night, when I realized that he isn't even in normal mode. When he breaks the gem the achievement doesn't pop up, this crap didnt even count. The method may work but the computer doesn't even fight back.

I had already gotten the achievement before, thats why nothing popped up.

I also got this achievement after playing for a few hours. The game just continued to give me double reds, and eventually a diamond to detonate.

Just got this achievement. It seemed like after a while, the blocks just started to be the correct colors for me. For a while it seemed like I'd stop getting the color I needed after I had built to 12-14 power gems.

I got this by luck. It kept giving me double red.

I've seen it a lot. They can actually set it up to 99, block, and still have 99 on the counter.

Lol! I got by random chance a green that took 3/4 of the screen, must have been bigger than a 25 and gave my flatmate way over 99, its just luck!

Tho we dont play it now as the music gives me headaches after so long, plus the japanese "jokes" etc get irritating etc =/

99 is the highest one can go. I've only had that once or twice.

I got this during arcade mode but now I see how hard I made it for myself lol.
