http://www.drrossperry.com.au with Dr Ross Perry Bird Vet Specialist raises some issues in the debate about feeding wild sulphur crested cockatoos in Sydney, Australia
@mysibo42 Probably hose the poop in, unless there are heaps of it. over time there could be a parasite build up in the lawn in that area, that is the main risk I see, unless there is an out break of some other infectious disease in the wild birds. Otherwise, have a plastic tarpauline or similar tray underneath, perhaps suspended above the lawn so lawn still gets sunlight, to collect the poops for more hygienic disposal. Ross Perry
i see you got a few other vids up..."partial destruction"..haha.
I wonder how one could clean a lawn from poop. it's not as easy to spot as concrete. or will the grass feed on it if i water it. was grabbing seeds today that i dropped on some poo and throw it out.when i make my 3 metre high feeder, i'm thinking of chucking soil around it. i'm making my own feeders . the ebay ones are not designed for australian birds, but little american birds.
