Another try out...
In 2008 I was for the first ime at Ecolonie.
This year I decided to stay in the Gîte à la Ferme instead of taking a room in the hotellerie of Ecolonie.
The Gîte à la Ferme is a part of the Ferme, the goat farm, and situated on the backside.

A part of the farm is the goat stable...
Surprising is absolutely to hear Mozart while the goats are going to be milked by Henk, the farmer.
So, it is not only Mozart you are listening to, you hear also the machines, and the voices of Henk and a guest, watching his work. Henk also whistles a nice song.... Not only now!
A very special goat is Artishock! She is always walking or running around, free. In the stable, outside the stable.
She acts like a dog! she can even jump! Everywhere where Henk is, she is there, or close.
Every goat has her own name, also the male goats.
Henk knows every goat by name, and character!
A lot of people would be honoured to be a goat and live here...!!
Not a joke, but a huge serious reality.
Unique....
Touching, moving.

About Ecology:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecology
Ecology (the thesis of ecological thinking and acting) at ECOlonie goes beyond healthy and organic gardening and building. Ecology is a philosophy that includes all aspects of life - both physical and spiritual. 'Eco' is derived from the Greek word oikos , meaning to feel at home. To feel at home somewhere simply means 'to feel at ease, to be able to be yourself'.
