Meet Logan, a CHD affected child. See how he is defying odds with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He is 10 now which is a miracle as this form of CHD is very rare. Learn more about CHD as it is CHD Awareness month.

Logan Michael Vallee was born on July 9, 2000. On the second day of his life, while feeding Logan turned blue. He was immediatley flown to Lutheran Generl and then to Children's Hope Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois he underwent an emergent cardiac catherizati​on. The results were devasting. Logan was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

  • It is such an inspiration to see that your son is doing so well! Our son Andrew is only 3 with HLHS and all of his surgeries have been done at Hope too! I love to hear any good news about our CHD kids.

  • I was also born with a heart defect. I was born with Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection (TAPVC) and I am 21 years old now!!! It's amazing how much it helped me growing up with friends and family supporting me 100% of the way! Stay strong Logan and just keep a positive attitude and I promise you'll get far in life!

  • Logan looks Awesome! My daughter Meredith has HLHS and 5 ,it is so nice to see the kids that are doing so well. We also go to Hope Childrens hospital
