  • @twerpantine Those are my cuban congas. I don't think they make them anymore, but there is a branch (Timba) that makes them just like this.

  • When all the patterns are played together I play a 2/3 rumbaclave pattern. It is the same pattern that they use when they are playing guaguanco.

  • Half my life I've been wondering what my father used to play on his ample German belly...a Songo variacion - thanks for clearing that up ;-). He always got a good slap sound happening too.
