Some pictures I took at Menninger Sanitarium in Topeka, KS 09/24/07. I havent learned the secret of preserving quality on youtube so bare with the overcompressed grainy shitty looking pictures. We digress.

Where in topeka is this??? I can't find anything telling me where it is.

You pretty mutch can't even get in there anymore. There is a lot of fencing around the building and the whole place is boarded up AND theres an alarm in there.

@jesuisciara no you are mistaken, yes there is a cemetary on the state hospital ground next to the fed surplus, but as you enter the menniger grounds on the west side, just inside the gates is the old cemetary, grass has overgrown the head stones

This place was cool but if you ask me, Topeka State Hospital is way freakier. I think they might have knocked it down recently though.

@rgm762 the abandoned cemetary isnt at menegers at all, its at the topeka state hospital on 6th and macvicar. you should look it up...1,157 inpatients buried under unmarked ground. crreeeeeeepy

People get theswe two mixed up. There is the Topeka State Hospital located on 6th near MacVicar (2700th block I think) Anyways, The Topeka State Hospital is where there was a murder, abused victimes, and also an unmarked grave. Then there is Mennigers Sanitarium and Psycopathic Hospital. Im sure some pretty crummy stuff happened at Mennigers too, but all the creepy stuff that people really like to hear about, they should look up Topeka State Hosipital. Some pretty creepy stuff happened there. :)

damn, I've always wanted to get up close and check it out. How did you get in without getting caught? And I've heard that police train their dogs or some shit there now. Fuck I want to go so bad for photography purposes.

how long ago was that? The place has been closed for like 7 years, and that was just the last few buildings that were still open.

awesome! Send a link to the video when its done! The kitchen was not part of the main building, it is one of the smaller 1 story buildings on the property. Yeah some assholes tore the place up good even when I was in there it was pretty trashed.
