This is a final tribute and farewell to ALL of the ill-fated 2002, 2003-2004 NABI 60-LFW Articulated buses from CTA. These buses were retired in 2009 due to structural problems with its articulated joints and other ill-fated problems--which prompted CTA to retire ALL of them, send them back to the manufacturer and having the NABI company haul all of them to the scrapyard. These were recorded around early-May of 2008 at Chicago, Illinois.

  • They should've gotten artic bus from New Flyer from the start. The quality of NABI is not as good as the quality of New Flyer. Glad they went ahead with buying the 2009 DE60LFs.

  • @david123321ism: I agree with you. CTA should've purchased the D60LFs since 2003 and 2004 instead of the 60-LFW. I've rode on the 60-LFW during my vacation and it wasn't bad except for the fact that I've heard these buses' structures are starting to fail quickly...

  • When CTA will purchase any new buses by 2012? Is New Flyer the contractor? Alright too many questions, The LFRs are a possibility for their future order to replace the NovaBuses
